Googoosh, the iconic Iranian singer and actress, brings her illustrious 60-year career to a close with the Final Chapter tour. Dubbed “Iran’s Daughter,” her influence spans generations and borders.​

Born in 1950s Tehran to a renowned actor and acrobat, Googoosh's early immersion in the performing arts led her to captivate audiences from a young age. By her teenage years, she was regularly performing publicly, adding her unique twist to beloved melodies.​

In 1966, she released her first single, “Ghesseh Vafa,” which remains the highest-selling record in Iranian history. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, she starred in numerous successful films and, in 1971, won the prestigious “Sepas” award, considered Iran’s equivalent of the Oscars.​

Her career propelled her onto international stages, performing alongside legends like Ray Charles and Tina Turner, and recording songs in multiple languages. Despite a 21-year hiatus from public performance following the 1979 Islamic revolution, she returned to the stage in 2000, selling out venues worldwide, including Madison Square Garden and the Sydney Opera House.​
